Boquete does not have an airport. The nearest is David (DAV), approximately a 45-minute drive from Boquete.
There are two ways to fly from Panama City to David, and the flight takes about 45 minutes:
Copa Airlines, from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) The most convenient option, with limited availability.
Air Panama, from Albrook Airport (PAC) More frequent flights.
Transportation from David to Boquete includes Uber, taxi or rental car (recommended). Domestic flights are limited, so we recommend booking as soon as you have your international ticket.

WHERE to STAy
IN BOQUETE
The wedding is at Valle Escondido, and we'd love for you to stay there with us — a garden resort in the middle of Boquete, steps from the ceremony and the party. We've secured a special rate: message the resort on WhatsApp at +507 6330-6938 and mention Joel & Liz's wedding, 6 March 2027.

If you'd rather be somewhere else, Boquete is small and full of lovely boutique hotels, and there are plenty of homes on Airbnb and Booking — most of them 5 to 10 minutes from the venue. March is high season, so please book early.

Good to know
Panama runs on the US dollar. Plugs are the same as the US and Canada. The tap water is safe to drink. Spanish is the language, and English is widely spoken in hotels and restaurants.
Panama City is hot and humid. Boquete is a mountain town and cools once the sun goes down. Bring light clothes for the city, a sweater or light jacket for Boquete, a light rain jacket, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, bug spray and a swimsuit.

Stay a
little longer
You've come a long way — so if you can, make a trip of it. AROUND BOQUETE there are the coffee farms where Geisha grows, the Lost Waterfalls, the Pipeline Trail and its quetzals, the summit of Volcán Barú, the canyon pools of Cangilones de Gualaca, rafting on the Chiriquí Viejo and zip-lines over the canopy. And Bocas del Toro, on the Caribbean, is closer than you think.
IN PANAMA CITY there's the Canal at the Miraflores Locks, the colonial streets of Casco Viejo, the ruins of Panamá Viejo, the Amador Causeway and rainforest without leaving the city at Parque Metropolitano. An hour out of town: the sloths and toucans of Gamboa, and the Emberá communities up the Chagres River. Then the islands: Taboga, a short ferry from the city; Contadora and the Pearl Islands; Guna Yala, better known as San Blas. Didi can put any of it together for you, before the wedding or after.
